Overview #

Configure the Connector #

The Connector can be configured using the CLI.

“connector url <command_center_url> apikey
<api_secret_key> connector <connector_name>”

Fetching the Connector Configuration #

The Connector details can be fetched from the CLI.

"show connector"

Restart the Connector #

The Connector can be restarted from the CLI.

"restart connector"

Configure DNS and Domain #

The DNS and the Search Domains can be configured using the CLI.

“dns primary <primary dns> secondary <secondary dns>
domain <domain names>

Fetching DNS and Domain #

The DNS and Domains can be fetched via CLI.

"show dns"

Troubleshoot reachability #

PING
"ping ip/host"
TRACEROUTE
"traceroute ip/host  [<resolve>] [<hops
number_of_hops>]

Example:

traceroute net.banyanops.com hops 10
DNS LOOKUP
"dns-lookup ip/host"
NETSTAT
netstat [<resolve>]

Validate Connector health #

The issues can be related to the CSE connector URL not being set, API key not being set, network is not configured etc.

"debug connection"

WireGuard Tunnel Status #

The WireGuard tunnel status can be fetched from the CLI.

'show tunnel status'

SafeMode #

SafeMode allows the user to perform maintenance operations on the VM.

SafeMode Operations #

  • Restart SonicWall: Press 1 and select Enter to restart SonicWall device. Confirm when the prompt appears.

  • Boot current firmware with default settings: Press 2 and select Enter.

  • Wipe the appliance: Press 3 to start the WIPE operation. CAUTION: This cannot be undone.

  • SCX Console: Press 9 to open the CLI console to perform certain (limited) operations as described earlier in this document.

  • Intel Mac Firmware Update: Enter 'intel-mac-firmware-update' to run the update.
