SMA1000:When both IPv4 and IPv6 are enabled for the network interface, the first few connection attempts fail, but everything works fine after that.

Description

When both IPv4 and IPv6 are enabled, the first few connection attempts fail, but everything works fine after that.

Here's what happens when you use Radius authentication:

  • The current workaround for the Wi-Fi network interface on the client PC
  • Enabling IPv4 stack only for interfaces on the client PC- Works perfectly.
  • Enabling IPv6 stack only for interfaces on client PC - works perfectly.
  • This problem has only been observed on Windows 10 and Windows 11, not on other operating systems.
  • This problem occurs only when an ISP provides both IPv4 and IPv6 internet access.

Cause

SMA1000: Enabling both IPv4 and IPv6 causes the first few connection attempts to fail, but then everything works fine on win10/11 for the network interface

Resolution

This will be addressed and fixed in the upcoming Ver-12.4.2 March Official hotfixes. Please use the most recent Connect Tunnel client, version 12.4.2-564 or higher.

Please contact technical support if you need a developer CT client.
