On booting and logging into a PC that has Connect Tunnel installed, the Connect Tunnel login prompt is automatically displayed. This can be a source of annoyance.
How do I prevent the Connect Tunnel login prompt from starting with windows?
When you install Connect Tunnel it uses Microsoft Remote Access Phonebook to make the connection. Since we use their tool to effect the connection we get their default conditions. Microsoft sets their Remote Access Phonebook program to start with the PC when there are VPN tunnels configured.
Under the 'Startup' tab in Task Manager, disable startup of "Remote Access Phonebook" published by Microsoft.
This will prevent the Connect Tunnel login window from opening when the the system starts. It will not affect normal use of Connect Tunnel.
