On-Prem NSM - how to increase disk size on ESXi

Description

For NSM On-Prem installed in ESXi, the size of hard disk can be increased in ESXi VM settings.

NOTE: You may get the error: "Virtual machine could not be reconfigured. Invalid operation for device" while trying to expand the hard disk.The reason for that error is because you have one (probably more) snapshot(s) on this VM.The resolution for that is to remove the snapshot created for the NSM Server.

Here are the steps:

This is the original disk size in NSM. It showed 283GB. (Screenshot 1)

1. Shut down NSM VM;

2. In ESXi host, edit this virtual machine:

3.Expand the virtual Disk:

Now boot NSM On-Prem VM, You should now notice that the disk space has been successfully expanded.
