







Once VM is created.
Right click on VM and to to properties.

Navigate to IDE controller | add new HDD
Once added, select the hyperv. VHD analytics 2.x image downloaded from mysonicwall.com
Make the Install partition HDD to be added as IDE0 controller location 0

Make the data partition HDD to be added as IDE0 controller location 1

One done.
Start the VM
Wait for few minutes while the VM initializes.

You should see this screen.
Wait untill the installation is complete, you would get the orange console screen.
Navigate to network and change the ip to match your network.

Now navigate to storage, select add storage and hit enter.
Choose Yes and hit enter again



Now close this by hitting Esc button on laptop.

Now select Mount storage and hit Enter, it would ask to restart the server.

Enter key we had given earlier while adding HDD (in our case it was blank i.e no password)

Now storage is mounted on VA.

Once restarted.
Login to Analytics via browser

Once logged in run the




Once applies , server will restart .
Wait till it restarts to access the GUI again.

Select Flow or syslog based on your license.


Next step would take about 30 minutes.

Analytics would restart and you should be able to access the login page of Analytics 2.5.
Use default username / password as admin/password to login , wait for 2-5 minutes and then switch over to the console interface page.
