No data in Web Filter reports

Description

This article describes how to fix the issue when viewing the Web Filter report and getting the error: No Matching Records Found

Resolution

When configured correctly, a GMS-managed appliance will report Web Filter information (blocked Websites) to GMS/Analyzer. To verify the required configuration, follow these steps:

  • Devices running 5.8 or 6.1 firmware version:
On the appliance at Security Services | Content Filter | Configure, enable the " Log Access to URL" setting:
Image On the appliance at Log | Categories, set the " Logging Level to Informational":

  • Device running 5.9 or 6.2.5 branches of firmware

On the appliance at Security Services | Content Filter | Configure, enable the ‘Log Access to URL’ setting:

Use the filter to view the Website Access Denied messages:
