How to Use Global Menu Search to look for terms, protocols, & features in the UI (6.5.1.0 & Above)

In SonicOS 6.5.1.0, a new feature is introduced allowing the user to search the SonicWall GUI for a configuration field.

This search guides the user to the appropriate page to adjust configuration of the item searched.

NOTE: This does not allow searching for the configuration itself, but the item to be configured.  I.e. you cannot search for the IP address configured on an interface, but you can search for interfaces to locate the screen in which to configure them. 

1. From any page in the firewall, there now exists a magnifying glass on the right hand side of the page. Clicking this icon displays the search box.
   
2. In the search box, type the configuration item desired.  The search pane now displays locations that involve the searched keyword.
   
   

EXAMPLE: In the below example, a search for interface was completed.  This returns the interfaces page to configure the interfaces as well as OSPF, RIP and HA monitoring pages as all reference interface configuration.
