Partners and end-users of the Unified Management (UM) platform may see a banner at the top of the Dashboard stating "Security Contact Required." This article explains why this is required and provides step-by-step instructions for resolving it.
SonicWall requires each organization to designate at least one Security Contact. This contact receives email notifications related to security advisories and vulnerability notices for the organization's account. Designating a Security Contact ensures your organization is promptly informed of security-relevant issues so you can respond and remediate proactively.
Until a Security Contact is added, the "Security Contact Required" banner will continue to display at the top of the UM Dashboard.

Clicking Add opens the Add New Contact Person modal. Complete the following fields:

Contacts, including Security Contacts, can be removed from the Contacts list at any time. This process is the same for all contact types (for example, Renewal Contacts and Security Contacts).
From the My Account screen, navigate to the Contacts section. Find the contact you want to remove, and click the trash can icon in the Action column for that row.
A confirmation modal will appear. For a Security Contact, this will display as Delete Security Contact and will warn that the contact will no longer receive security or vulnerability-related emails.
Click Delete to confirm and remove the contact, or click Cancel to keep it.
Note: If you delete your organization's only Security Contact, the Security Contact Required banner will reappear on the UM Dashboard until a new Security Contact is added.
