How to configure site to site vpn between SonicWall and Fritzbox

This KB describes how to configure a Site to Site VPN Policy between an AVM Fritzbox and a SonicWall firewall

SonicWall firewall configuration

1. Navigate to Network|IPSec VPN|Rules and Settings
2. Enter the Security Policy and IKE Authentication details
   
3. Enter the network details
   
   
   
4. Enter the IKE Phase 1 and IPSec Proposals as follows
   
   
   
5. Enable Keep Alive on the Advanced tab
   
6. Click on Save to create the VPN Policy

Fritzbox configuration

1. Download the Fritzbox configuration tool from https://en.avm.de/service/vpn/vpn-downloads/ and install it.
2. Open the configuration tool and select New
   
3. Choose the option to configure a connection between two Fritzboxes
   
   
   
   
4. Enter the WAN IP Address or FQDN of the Fritzbox
   
   
   
5. Enter the local network address of the Fritzbox
   
6. Enter the WAN IP of the SonicWall Firewall
   
7. Enter the local network of the SonicWall Firewall
   
   
   
8. Choose to export the configuration files
   
9. Choose a location to save the files
   
10. Import the configuration file into the Fritzbox
