How can I change the SonicWall logo on the firewall login page with my company logo, using URI link?

Description

SonicWall firewalls provides the flexibility to customize login pages, including changing the SonicWall logo with a custom company logo. This article explains how to do this step by step using logo image that is hosted on the internet.

Resolution

  1. Go to Manage | Users | Settings | Customization
  2. Select "Login Authentication" drop down menu
  3. Click on the "Default" button to pre-populate the customizable login page HTML elements

  4. We will change the <img src="logo_sw.png"> part
  5. This is the built-in SonicWall logo in PNG format
  6. A custom logo that is 200px to 200px or close to this size would be ideal
  7. In this use case our custom logo named "my-logo.png" is saved on the Internet at Image
  8. Let replace <img src="logo_sw.png"> with Imageand save the configuration changes

  9. You can preview the change and logout from the firewall to access the login page
  10. If the logo does not load properly please check the browser console (eg. Chrome: More Tools| Developer Tools)

  11. Per Broswer Content Security Policy directive the external image URI is refused
  12. On the diag page which can be accessed through https://[IP Address]/diag.html, the domain name needs to be added to the allowed list of CSP header

  13. Add the domain name and save the configuration
  14. Go to the login page of the firewall and the SonicWall logo should be replaced with the custom logo
