Description

A WAN Gateway (Router) IP Address is not listed in the SonicWall Firewall (UTM) Appliance Configuration

Resolution

In Firmware 6.X, check the General > Network page for the WAN Gateway field. In SonicOS Standard, check for this field on the Network > Settings page. In SonicOS Enhanced, check the WAN (AKA X1) interface on the Network > Interfaces page. If there is no router listed, refer to your ISP paperwork to locate the gateway IP address to enter in the WAN Gateway (Router) Address field. If using the Network Addressing Modes NAT with PPPoE client or NAT with DHCP Client, the WAN Gateway (Router) address only appears if you have a successful connection from the SonicWall to the ISP. Try rebooting your cable or DSL modem, and restarting the SonicWall from the System > Restart page (SonicOS Enhanced or Standard) or the Tools > Restart page (Firmware 6.x). Log in and check for the WAN Gateway (Router) Address again.
