Dell provides instructor-led courses and technical eLearning modules designed to supply you with extensive technology foundations, in-depth knowledge specific to Dell SonicWALL products, in addition to online practice and an array of supplemental resources to enhance learning.

Dell Technical Instructor-led Courses:

Dell offers hands-on, instructor-led courses as part of our technical certification curriculum. Each course is designed to instruct the student in key security technology fundamentals, along with specific Dell SonicWALL product design, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting topics. Pass the associated certification exam offered at the conclusion of each of these classes and you become a Certified SonicWALL System Administrator (CSSA)—passing 3 or more of these certification exams entitles you to the Master CSSA distinction and benefits.

Network Security Basic Administrator Training

This 2-day, hands-on, instructor-led course provides students the required background, knowledge and experience to begin designing, implementing and troubleshooting Dell SonicWALL security appliances running SonicOS firmware.

This course covers basic deployment and configuration using SonicOS firmware. Attendees will become technically familiar with a wide spectrum of Dell innovated feature sets, such as Basic Configuration, Scalability and Reliability, Unified Threat Management (UTM), VPN, Basic High Availability, and much more. While learning the wide array of security features SonicOS has to offer, students also learn how to validate settings and to use troubleshooting techniques with the Dell SonicWALL diagnostic tools.

All lessons include hands-on lab exercises to reinforce the presentation material.

Network Security Advanced Administrator Training

This 2-day, hands-on, instructor-led course provides students the required background, knowledge and experience to implement and troubleshoot advanced features of Dell SonicWALL security appliances running SonicOS firmware.

This course builds on the skills learned in Dell’s Network Security Basic Administration (NS-101) Course and teaches the student the latest information on Application Control, Bandwidth Management, troubleshooting, advanced networking and more. This advanced course requires the prior completion of the Advanced Networking and Security with SonicOS E-Learning and the Network Security Basic Administration course. This advanced course will not cover pre-requisite material durring class time.

All lessons include hands-on lab exercises to reinforce the presentation material.

Secure Remote Access Basic Administration (SRABA) Training

This 3-day course is recommended for anyone who need to maintain and monitor a Dell SonicWALL Aventail SSL VPN appliance. This course provides instruction on the administration and management of the SSL VPN appliance to provide secure, anywhere access to applications and resources for employees, business partners and other users.

The course covers using the Aventail Management Console (AMC) to provide users with secure access to any application, from corporate laptops or un-managed computers, based on secure authentication and authorization policies and appropriate End Point Control requirements. Students also learn how to deploy Aventail Secure Desktop for added security, as well as deploy graphical terminal shortcuts for native, Web-based access to Windows Terminal Servers and Citrix server farms.
