Proven Firewall Enterprise Appliance.
The Dell™ SonicWALL™ SuperMassive™ 9000 Series Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) is designed to deliver deep security to your enterprise at multi-gigabit speeds. Offering the ultimate in security with enterprise class performance, the SuperMassive 9000 Series detects and blocks the most sophisticated threats before they can enter your network with minimal latency for every connection on the network. Utilizing a higher core density architecture in an elegant, one rack unit appliance, the SuperMassive 9000 Series efficiently saves rack space and lowers power and cooling costs. Its multicore design can gracefully handle traffic spikes without impacting network performance.
Built for the enterprise.
Now your enterprise can be both secure and productive. Dell turned the network security product category upside down by redefining the Next-Generation Firewall and eliminating the age-old protection-for-performance tradeoff. Dell SonicWALL SuperMassive Series was designed from the ground up for the world’s most demanding enterprise networks. Culminating from years of research and development, the solution was built to deliver security, performance, and scalability without compromise. The result – Dell’s SonicWALL SuperMassive Series is the most secure, highest performing NGFW ever.
Application Intelligence and Control.
Intuitive application flow visualization tools allow for the identification of productive and unproductive application traffic in real time which can then be controlled through powerful application-level policies. Application control can be exercised on both a per-user and a per-group basis, along with schedules and exception lists. All application signatures are continuously updated by Dell SonicWALL’s research team. Additionally, Dell SonicWALL’s advanced operating system, SonicOS, provides integrated tools that allow for custom application identification. learn more
Superior performance with a multi-core architecture.
Deliver deep protection from even the most sophisticated attacks without compromising your network performance. No other NGFW platform is even close to being capable of offering the breakthrough performance and unprecedented levels of protection found in the SuperMassive Series. The revolutionary multicore architecture and single-pass Reassembly-Free Deep Packet Inspection (RFDPI) engine raise the bar for NGFW protection. Inspecting every byte of every packet, regardless of the port or protocol, the high performance DPI capability found in the SuperMassive Series is a game changer and eliminates the protection-for-performance trade-off.
Eases administrative burdens.
SuperMassive enforces intelligent policy decisions to ensure security effectiveness, while slashing management burdens and organizational risk. SuperMassive’s intuitive user interface provides a consolidated, single-pane management view, easing administrative burden and reducing total cost of ownership. Enterprise administrators will also benefit from SuperMassive’s comprehensive real-time visualization with thorough on and off box reporting capabilities.
Centralize and unify management.
Easily consolidate management of Dell SonicWALL security appliances—including the SuperMassive 9000 Series—with the Dell Global Management System (GMS). Reduce administrative and troubleshooting complexities with a unified, secure and extensible platform. Govern all operational aspects of your security infrastructure, including centralized policy management and enforcement, real-time event monitoring, analytics and reporting, and more. A single GMS instance can scale to thousands of distributed enterprise firewalls. Gain agility and ensure compliance when deploying firewall policies with GMS workflow automation. Manage network security by business processes and service levels rather than on a device-by-device basis.
Built for extreme protection and performance.
The Dell™ SonicWALL™ SuperMassive™ 9000 Series features 4 x 10-GbE SFP+, up tp 12 x 1-GbE SFP, 8 x 1-GbE and a 1 GbE management interface for flexible deployments. Combining proprietary, leading edge SonicOS operating system with a massively scalable multi-core hardware design, The Supermassive 9000 Series provides near-linear performance increases to deliver up to 37 Gbps of firewall throughput, 20 Gbps of application control, 18 Gbps of intrusion prevention , and 9.0 Gbps of malware protection. Comprised of the 9200, 9400, 9600 and 9800, the SuperMassive 9000 Series provides options for enterprise networks of any size.
SuperMassive 9000 Series features.
Deliver deep protection from even the most sophisticated attacks without compromising your network performance. The Dell SuperMassive 9000 Series provides industry-leading security protection, outstanding performance, massive scalability and near-zero latency, designed to handle the largest data centers’ bandwidth consumption.
Tightly integrated with Reassembly-Free Deep Packet Inspection™ to deliver intrusion prevention, malware protection, application intelligence, control and visualization, and inspection for SSL encrypted sessions. They scan every byte of every packet for the deepest level of protection and massively scale to extend state-of-the-art security to growing and distributed enterprise networks.
Dell SonicWALL provides real-time insight and control of network traffic broken down by applications, users and content. The ability to prioritize important applications, throttle down unproductive applications and block unwanted application components ensures an efficient and safe network.
Tightly integrated, signature based network intrusion prevention protects against a comprehensive array of network and application layer threats by scanning packet payloads for attacks and exploits targeting critical internal systems.
Deep Packet Inspection for SSL encrypted traffic (DPI-SSL).
DPI-SSL transparently decrypts, inspects and re-encrypts SSL encrypted traffic to allow security services to be applied to all traffic that traverses Dell SonicWALL Next-Generation Firewalls.
Mobile Connect™, available as a mobile app for Apple® iOS , Mac OSX, Kindle Fire and Google® Android™ mobile devices and embedded with Windows 8.1 devices, provides users with simple, policy-enforced access to corporate and academic resources over encrypted SSL VPN connections.
Dell SonicWALL’s patented Reassembly-Free Deep Packet Inspection engine combined with up to 64 processing cores ensures that the 9000 Series is capable of inspecting over 2.5 million connections simultaneously across all ports. With nearly zero latency and without file size limitations, the system provides up to 20 Gbps of full deep packet inspection throughput across 4 x 10-GbE SFP+, 12 x 1-GbE SFP, 8 x 1-GbE interfaces. Designed with power, space and cooling (PSC) in mind, SuperMassive provides the leading Gbps/Watt in the industry.
SonicOS provides key features designed to ensure the security of your network, plus a newly designed graphical user interface for increased functionality and ease of use.
Virtual private networking.
High-performance Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) easily scale to thousands of end points and branch offices. And Dell SonicWALL Clean VPN™ technology protects the integrity of both your IPSec and SSL VPN traffic, securing your remote access tunnels and decontaminating the traffic running over it.
Integrated SSL VPN technology enables clientless, remote access to email, files, intranets, and applications from a variety of tablet, phone and PC platforms. The SSL VPN client can also be automatically pushed out to the client and auto-configured to provide secure layer 3 connectivity.
Powerful set-up wizards make it easy to quickly set up VPN Tunnels, policies and network rules, which can then be fine-tuned through an intuitive Web interface. All application and signature updates are obtained automatically by the firewall and are effective immediately without reboots or downtime.
Select firewall models support a number of advanced deployment scenarios for increased throughput and redundancy beyond the common Active/Passive and Active/Active two unit deployments. Active/Active clustering deployments allow for assembly of stateful HA pair, stateless-HA pairs and single-unit “nodes” within the cluster.A Cluster can consist of up to 4 nodes, each node containing one or two units, for distribution of flows across all nodes with linear performance scaling.
