SSL VPN Secure Remote Access Security Services SRA Secure Virtual Assist / Secure Virtual Access / Secure Virtual Meeting

SRA Secure Virtual Assist.

Technical support by phone, email, chat and pre-installed remote support clients can be cumbersome, time consuming and frustrating. Dell™ SonicWALL™ Secure Virtual Assist makes it easy for employees to get the support they need by enabling technicians to assume control of customers Windows®, Mac OS® and Linux® devices remotely. Easily installed via a web browser, Secure Virtual Assist allows technicians to chat, transfer files, access and reboot a customer’s computer remotely to diagnose and fix problems. Session recording enables administrators to capture troubleshooting steps that can be distributed to others facing the same issue. It seamlessly integrates into the existing network and authentication infrastructure and doesn’t require setting complex policies on primary firewall or gateway devices. Additionally, administrators can use the granular policy controls on the Dell SonicWALL Secure Remote Access (SRA) Series appliance to enforce local or external authentication for technicians.

Secure Virtual Assist

Secure Virtual Assist features and benefits.

Anytime, anywhere remote support.

Secure Virtual Assist enables a technician to assume control of a user’s Windows, Mac or Linux desktop or laptop to ease remote system troubleshooting while reducing time-to-resolution on outstanding help desk tickets. Secure Virtual Assist saves time and money by removing the need to send support staff on-site to debug problems.

Secure chat functionality.

As opposed to phone support, secure chat functionality provides an efficient and cost-effective way to communicate.

Session recording.

Recording the Secure Virtual Assist session allows the technician to capture the service session and share it with others to help resolve known issues.

Easy-to-use customer portal.

Secure Virtual Assist provides an easy-to-use web portal with a familiar look and feel for Windows, Mac and Linux customers. Users may either log on to the portal and request remote support directly, or accept an email invitation from a technician to start a remote support session.

Interactive communication tools.

Users and technicians can communicate securely and cost-effectively through built-in chat functionality as opposed to phone support. File transfer capabilities allow users to receive necessary file updates from IT in real time as needed. User account switching allows the technician to change roles as needed on a given logged-in system.

Diagnostic capabilities.

Technicians can easily and quickly obtain system information from a customer’s Windows, Mac or Linux desktop or laptop for troubleshooting purposes.

Advanced troubleshooting capabilities.

IT technicians can reboot and reconnect to a remote PC, even in Safe Mode. Unattended Mode support gives technicians the ability to service Windows, Mac or Linux desktops and laptops in the customer’s absence.

Support queue dashboard.

Administration is simplified with a support queue dashboard that allows case prioritization based on the severity of the issue. The technician can pick and choose cases from the support queue based on severity of the case and/or the order in which the users filed their support requests.

Features and Benefits shared across Secure Virtual Assist, Secure Virtual Access and Secure Virtual Meeting.

Thin client connectivity.

Customer frustration and setup overhead is minimized with thin client connectivity that eliminates the need to download and install a “fat” client.

Logging and reporting functionality.

Managers can easily supervise remote support activity for internal audit or external billing purposes with integrated logging and reporting functionality.

Easy deployment.

Seamless integration of the SRA appliance behind virtually any firewall enables organizations to leverage their existing network infrastructure. Tight integration with an existing LDAP, AD, RADIUS, Dell Quest Defender or one-time password authentication infrastructure ensures confirmation of technician identities, and prevents unauthorized access to customers' systems. It also enables an administrator to granularly segment technicians into various groups, each with different access privileges.

256-Bit AES SSL encryption.

The SRA appliance secures the entire support session using 256-bit AES SSL encryption. This not only provides a secure environment for the data, but also assists in the effort to comply with internal and external data protection regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA.

Low TCO for multiple services.

Secure Virtual Meeting and Secure Virtual Access come bundled with Secure Virtual Assist at one affordable, upfront price. There are no yearly or monthly fees tied to usage or additional hardware needed.
