RME also reduces IT expenditures by eliminating the need for dedicated recovery servers, and saves time by performing fast searches based on sender, recipient, date, subject, and message or attachment keyword. RME also saves critical data by granularly searching backed-up attachment content, public folders and public folder hierarchies in Exchange and Lotus® Domino.

Live Exchange search.

IT administrators can easily search and export Exchange Server mailboxes and public live folders to save time conducting email discovery from data silos.

Intelligent searching.

Search results can include message headers/classes, categories, deleted items, conversation threads and attachments. Expanded search results include all messages from the same sender, messages with the same or similar subject, or any related messages.

Support for third-party backup software.

Administrators can search major third-party backups, including CA® ARCserve, CA BrightStor, EMC® Legato NetWorker, IBM® Tivoli Storage Manager, Microsoft Data Protection Manager, VERITAS® Backup Exec, VERITAS NetBackup, and native Microsoft backups.

Direct access to tape.

RME supports direct access to tape backup formats, including EMC Legato Networker Open Tape Format (OTF); Microsoft® Tape Format (MTF); Symantec® Backup Exec; and VERITAS NetBackup’s Tape Archive (TAR).

Multiple data source recovery.

CDP provides support for multiple data sources including multiple public folders, multiple mailboxes, and PSTs—all from a single interface.

Compare Source and Target Folders

Administrators can compare contents in selected source and target containers (storages, mailboxes or folders) and use the provided list of comparison results to selectively restore data from the source to the target.

Task automation.

Administrators can use the Task Wizard to perform cataloging and recovery operations by scheduling tasks to automatically catalog, restore, search, and export email data from multiple Exchange databases at the same time.
