The Aventail E-Class SRA Platform Aventail Connect Mobile for Windows Mobile
Dell SonicWALL Aventail Connect Mobile™, in combination with an Aventail E-Class SRA appliance, provides the most robust remote access solution for Windows Mobile smartphone and PDA users, with in-office access optimized for the device. Lightweight and easy to install, Aventail Connect Mobile is deployable on demand from a portal. By combining a seamless network experience for users along with a single centrally managed gateway for mobile access control, Aventail Connect Mobile is defining secure remote access for today's mobile enterprise.
Leverages existing architecture investment.
Aventail Connect Mobile gives IT the greatest flexibility to leverage existing architecture. For example, when deploying mobile applications such as email to Blackberry devices, administrators may need to invest in additional proprietary enterprise server infrastructure. Alternately, they could avoid those additional infrastructure costs by using Aventail Connect Mobile to provide full direct access to a Windows Mobile smartphone or PDA.
iPhone, iPad, Android and Symbian support.
The Dell SonicWALL Aventail platform features clientless Microsoft ActiveSync support for Apple iPhone®, iPad™, Android® and Symbian mobile devices through the SRA appliance. ActiveSync support allows an administrator to secure access to email, contacts and calendar functions through the SSL VPN, without having to expose an Exchange® server at the edge of the network. In addition, ActiveSync features the ability to require users to authenticate through the SSL VPN (username/password), as well as require device identification against information stored in the user’s Active Directory or LDAP account.
Seamless and transportable user experience.
With Dell SonicWALL Aventail Session Persistence, the session can persist from network to network without the need to re-establish authentication or re-launch a network session, as long as the session has not logged out or timed out. A user, for instance, could travel with a PDA from a corporate wireless network to a cellular network to a home wireless network—all the while maintaining a persistent secure access session.
Device Watermarks supports instant access revocation.
While mobile devices increase productivity, their inherent portability can often result in theft or loss. The advanced Dell SonicWALL Aventail Device Watermarks technology allows administrators to revoke the certificate of a lost or stolen PDA or smartphone immediately from a central console—instantly blocking unauthorized access to resources from a central console.
Advanced access control for mobile endpoint devices.
All the while, Dell SonicWALL Aventail solutions fully integrate Connect Mobile—including Session Persistence and Device Watermarks—into its market-leading combination of Dell SonicWALL Aventail Unified Policy™ and Dell SonicWALL Aventail End Point Control™, providing flexible, easy-to-manage remote access options. This controls network access based upon uniform policy that considers the sensitivity of the resource, the authorization of the user and interrogation of the mobile device.
Dell SonicWALL Aventail Connect Mobile is a certified application for Windows® Mobile™-based devices.
